Here in the Midwest, we have no shortage of festivals…and corn, we have no shortage of corn. (Except apparently we do currently have a shortage of corn? I digress.) Anyhow, festivals.
In Elburn (literally at the end of the train tracks here folks) Elburn Days is the town’s primary event. The Elburn Lions Club organizes the event and proceeds go to support a slew of charitable projects. I was so excited to work with them on preparing sponsorship letters since sponsors really are the cornerstone of the festival.
I designed a two page, full color flyer to be mailed to hundreds of business and organizations. Aside from an eye catching layout, I was aiming to incorporate all of the information needed to persuade sponsors and allow them to register. This meant that a donor letter, background info, sponsorship packages, contact information and a detachable registration form needed to be included…on one 8. 5″ x 11″ sized flyer. It all came together and the final product was printed on 100 lb book stock with a glossy finish.
